Starting a blog is very exciting, I'm happy to be sharing more about the creative side of my life with family and friends and hopefully I'll be reaching more people as it grows. That said, I wanted to do a 10 facts post so that readers who may not know me in real life can get an idea of who I am!
1. I've been passionate about photography for about five years and graphic design less than one! Design is a relatively new passion of mine so I have a lot to learn, but I look forward to the journey.
2. Some of my hobbies are cooking, baking, bullet journaling, calligraphy, and working out/yoga. I'm sure that all of these topics will come up in posts here eventually, so keep an eye out for them!
3. I'm originally from New Mexico and I actually really love it there. The weather is lovely (we have seasons!), the cost of living is lower, and my family is there, so I would love to move back after college and have that be my home base (unless an irresistible, once-in-a-lifetime job offer comes up elsewhere).
4. I'm a tea lover. I've been drinking it for almost the same amount of time that I've been passionate about photography! Earl grey is my favorite, but matcha and chai are not far behind.
5. If I wasn't doing photography or design, I think I would try and open a cafe. I've been volunteering at a cafe as a barista for a few months now and it's such a blast. There are so many fun things to make with coffee and tea and I love that making someone a tasty hot drink can totally make their day.
6. I love reading, even though as a student I don't have much time for it. Right now I'm reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain and it is very fascinating!
7. I've been using the bullet journal method to keep my life together for three years now, and I highly recommend it. It helps me stay organized and productive but also doubles as a creative outlet. Keep an eye out for a post on it!
8. I have a dog and a cat, Kalee and Molly, and I love them both very much.
9. Since July of 2018, I've been studying French and Spanish by myself and just recently started Italian. I'm also passionate about travelling and it is something I would like to do a lot of over the course of my life, so learning different languages is a way to open myself up to other cultures.
10. Most of the TV shows I watch are not from the United States! I find that I don't enjoy the humor in American shows very much, so I prefer TV shows that come from England, or Korean or Japanese dramas.
So there's ten facts for you all! They are all pretty random but I hope that they help you get to know me better. More photography, design, and lifestyle content will be coming later this month!
Thanks for reading!
xx, Hannah
