A College Week in My Life V2

Hello everyone! I figured that since I've just moved back to my university to start my junior year of college, it'd be a perfect time to do another week in my life! The last one I did was in March and you can find it here if you're interested. The label "week" is pretty loose, but I can catch up you all on what I've been doing for the past several days.

It's been a lot of adjusting to a new "normal", which started with moving on to my campus. Some family members and I drove to California and they helped me move in. Unpacking was interesting because I share an apartment with three other roommates and all of us had to move in our stuff, but we all get along well! Setting up my desk was my first priority, and now since I'm over a week in, I spend a ton of time there. My textbooks are within arm's reach and I enjoy sitting down with a cup of tea to get work done.

Upon moving in, I realized that I had forgotten to bring anything remotely decorative! Luckily, I had some prints from a past semester's class that I didn't need, so they work very well as decorations!

Otherwise, it's been a lot of schoolwork! I'm taking some very interesting classes this semester. Some of them will be a lot of work, but I feel up to the challenge. I have a lot of reading because I'm in two history courses (one is church history and the other is design history), but both are fascinating. I also have a job this year! There is a place on my campus for graphic design and photography students to rent out equipment and reserve time in the photo studio, so I work there twice a week. It's a really relaxed job so I'm able to do my readings, work on blog posts, or work on other projects while I'm there!

My workload is heavy already and it'll only get worse, so I'm trying to utilize my time to the best of my ability. My bullet journal has been a lifesaver, just the second week already looks busy because I've been able to plan out my days by including my work schedule, breaking down my reading assignments into smaller chunks, writing down commitments as they come up, and even writing down when I want to go to a workout class. I wrote a whole post on bullet-journaling, how I use it, and why I like it, so if you're interested in that click here!

I'm writing this on Monday, but you can see that the columns for the other days are filling up already!

I haven't been able to keep up with food photography as much as I'd like, mostly because of all the school craziness but also because I haven't been able to go grocery shopping yet. I managed to order a few things online though, like some tea to replenish the meager stash I brought with me. I always try to make time for my afternoon tea habit, even if it doesn't happen at my regular time. I don't always do hot drinks since it's so hot outside, but recently I made a favorite of mine, a lavender earl grey latte garnished with some lavender buds I bought since I'm running low on my current lavender tea. The image is taken from my Instagram Story, where sometimes I post more often than the feed. If you want to take a look or give a follow, click here!

If I do more of these over the course of the year, they may be more involved. Recently I've been pretty busy so I didn't often think to stop and take a photo for this post if I was doing something interesting. In the past I have done update posts, where I share what's going on with my recent work, so that might be an option too! Thanks for reading,

xx, Hannah
